Unlike sunflower oil, there is limited scientific evidence to support the topical application of olive oil. However, people may indirectly buy cold-pressed olive oil when used as main ingredient in products such as soaps, body washings, and lotions. Some popular cosmetic uses for olive oil are:

Hair treatment: Use 1-2 tablespoons (15-30 ml) of olive oil to treat split ends or massage gently into your scalp to relieve dryness. Then rinse out the shampoo thoroughly.

Moisturizing: To hydrate your skin, apply a thin layer after showering or mix a dime-sized amount into your normal lotion before use. You may need to strain excess oil with a towel.

Nail flushing: Massage a drop of olive oil into each tip of your finger to treat cracked, cracked, or dry cuticles. Since lower degrees of olive oils may contain potential skin irritations, we recommend you to buy cold-pressed olive oil.
